This might put India in a hazardous scenario with China and Pakistan. This is not a hoax, but rather a well-executed strategy. Afghanistan is also known as the Land of the Graveyard Empires. Whoever tries to win Afghanistan and take control of the country is doomed to fail.

Why are the Global Leaders still Interested in Afghanistan?

There are Two main reasons:-
1. Afghanistan Geographical Position.
2. Afghanistan’s Natural Treasure.

Afghanistan Flag

The terrain of Afghanistan is rich in rare earth minerals. These reserves are worth one trillion dollars. This includes the greatest lithium reserve on the planet. The same lithium that drives the batteries of electric vehicles. Following the United States’ hasty exit from Afghanistan, when all attention was focused on the Taliban, one country, China, was consolidating its grip on Afghan natural resources.

Colonel Zhou Bou of the People’s Liberation Army. With the US out of the picture, Zhou Bou believes Beijing can provide what Kabul most needs: political neutrality and economic investment. You’re probably aware of China’s debt trap politics, in which the country invests in poor countries, then turns them into economic slaves and extracts tremendous political favours from them. When China begins mining lithium in Afghanistan in the near future, the raw materials will have to be brought back to China.

The belt and road project started the planning for this ten years ago. China plans to build a highway between Peshawar and Kabul that will allow it to carry materials worth $1 trillion to China. China’s long-term investment plan to fund infrastructure development in this area is known as the Belt and Road Initiative. The Belt and Road Initiative was not joined by India. Afghanistan is a missing piece of the puzzle, but we can get there through Pakistan, and we can develop a faster path to the Middle East. A new route through Kabul would also reduce the importance of India’s residency bro joining the belt and road. At the United Nations Security Council, China expressed its displeasure with India. When it came to the security of Afghanistan, China stayed out of the conversation. The reason for this is slowly becoming clear.

What does Pakistan want?

The Pakistani Prime Minister refers to the Taliban as ordinary citizens. For Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Taliban fighters wielding AK-47s are equal to civilians. Imran Khan congratulated the Taliban on their takeover personally. He claimed that they had freed themselves from the shackles of servitude.

How much money does the Taliban have?

The Taliban are the wealthiest insurgent group, according to the CIA. The Taliban is not only a local insurgent group, but also a massive financial network. The Taliban’s annual revenue ranges from $400 million to 1.5 billion dollars.

Four Main source of income:-

1.The first source is opium: Afghanistan is the world’s largest opium producer. The innocent-looking blossom gives birth to a chemical that isn’t so benign. This narcotic, which we call heroin, has over 15 million addicts globally, and it is illegal. The illegal heroin market around the globe is worth 65 billion dollars. Apart from heroin, opium is used to make another important drug called morphine, which is used to reduce pain signals. Afghanistan produces 85 percent of the world’s opium. When it comes to heroin demand, Russia and China are at the top of the list, which is why these countries are so interested in Afghanistan. Afghanistan makes 3 billion dollars a year alone from opium exports, of which the Taliban receives 400 million dollars as a cut or share.

2.The second source is Tax Collection: This was before the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. If there is an issue in Afghanistan that is more serious than the Taliban, it is the lack of connectivity; smaller cities, towns, and villages are isolated from larger ones such as Kabul. The notion of the ring road was conceived to address these connection concerns, but the Taliban controlled many portions of the ring road, and farmers and traders passing through had to pay a modest “tax” to the Taliban. Similarly, the Taliban levied taxes on projects, including roads, schools, and clinics, that were intended to aid in the growth of the people and provide them with basic amenities. The facilities would not be built if this was not paid. In an interview with the BBC, the head of the Afghanistan Electricity Company said that in exchange for granting permission to produce electricity, they had to pay the Taliban $2 million in tax. This means that over the last 20 years, every development project has aided the Taliban’s financial development.

Geographical Position

3.The third source is mines and minerals: Every year, Afghanistan’s mining industry generates $1 billion in revenue. Afghanistan has so numerous lithium reserves that the US Department of Defence dubs it the “Saudi Arabia of Lithium.” Electric vehicles will usher in the next revolution. Lithium is the primary raw ingredient for electric vehicle batteries, as we all know. China has stated that electric vehicles will be used to help it become the next global superpower. Afghanistan’s copper reserves are estimated to be over 60 million metric tonnes. Our close neighbour, China, was awarded a contract to mine copper in Afghanistan in 2008. Natural gas reserves exist in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is home to the valuable gemstone lapis lazuli. Rare earth minerals, which are employed in all forms of military and technological equipment, are mined in the country in quantities of 1.4 million tonnes. Afghanistan has a significant number of these reserves. This industry employs a large number of people who are working illegally. The Taliban had begun controlling mining sites and local mining operations by force, as the previous Afghan government admitted. Indirectly controlled by the Taliban are 25-30 tiny mining operations distributed across the country. Every year, the Taliban receives ten million dollars from them.

4.The fourth source is foreign donations: Some countries have been listed by the Afghan government and US officials. These countries used to provide financial assistance to the Taliban on a regular basis. Pakistan, Russia, and Iran are among these nations. In a confidential document, the CIA revealed that the Taliban received 106 million dollars from foreign donors in a single year. This money, according to the Central Intelligence Agency , comes from Gulf countries. According to American intelligence authorities, Pakistani intelligence plays a significant role in providing financial aid to the Taliban. These figures were obtained before the Taliban took power in Afghanistan. Now that the Taliban has taken control of the country, all of these activities that were previously unlawful and carried out underground will be carried out publicly, legally, and in a methodical manner.

What is Shariah law?

Sharia law is the Islamic legal system, which is founded on the Prophet Muhammad’s tales and religious sayings as well as the Quran. The Quran lays out a route to living a moral life, but not a set of rules. Women may have many rights under one interpretation of shariah, while women may have minimal rights under another. Some of the Taliban’s limitations on women, ostensibly based on Islamic law, have been criticised as going beyond the shariah’s bounds, according to critics. The interpretation of shariah is a source of contention throughout the Muslim world, and every organisation and nation that bases its legal system on shariah has done so in their own unique way. When the Taliban demands for Sharia Law to be implemented, they do so in an Islamic manner so that all Muslims accept it. Shariah penalises some crimes, like theft and adultery, provided the accusations reach a certain threshold of proof. It also provides moral and spiritual counsel, such as when and how to pray, as well as information on marriage and divorce. It does not prevent women from leaving the house without a male partner, but it does bar them from working in most professions.

What does this entail for today’s women?

Experts have been looking for signs of a change in the Taliban’s attitude toward women in their recent activities. In Kabul this week, a top Taliban official spoke to a female television journalist as part of the group’s broader effort to show a more moderate face to the world and within Afghanistan. Hours afterwards, a well-known state television anchor woman stated that the Taliban had indefinitely suspended her and other female employees.
According to some stories, women are being kidnapped to act as a conduit for Taliban fighters. Some men are forced to join the ranks of the Taliban. The capacity of girls to attend school is a major concern. Because the previous Taliban regime prevented girls from going to school.
According to the Taliban, women will have equal rights in Afghanistan once they establish a new government. Taliban officials have stated that women will be able to work and study, and another official has stated that women should be involved in government, indicating a possible departure from previous practice. The Taliban, on the other hand, forbids women from attending universities outside of Kabul and warns them not to leave the house without the presence of a male relative. They’ve also shut down several women’s clinics and a girls’ school. They will allow women to go to school, work, and leave their homes alone. Women, on the other hand, would still be required to wear hijabs.

Did someone kidnap Abdul Ghani Baradar and take him as a hostage?

Taliban’s Prime Minister, Mullah Baradar, has been kidnapped near Kandhar, according to the Spectator magazine in the United Kingdom. Mullah Baradar’s video, according to the magazine, is similar to a hostess video in that it was forced to be made. The magazine also claims that the Taliban’s supreme leader, Hibatullah, has died, but his death is not widely publicised. So that the chasm between the Taliban and the rest of the world does not widen. In the battle of Mullah Baradar, Mullah Baradar fought Khalil Haqqani. In front of everyone, Haqqani punched and kicked the baradar. Mullah Baradar then left Kabul. According to the magazine, Bardar said that everyone should be represented in the new government of Afghanistan. Mullah Baradar was repeatedly saying that the minority Take of Afghanistan i.e. Hazra, Sphere Shia, Uzbek and Tajik community should also be included. The baradar believed that this would improve the image of the Taliban on the national site. That is, he desired a government that was inclusive. Rehman Haqqani became enraged by this and assaulted Bardar. The Haqqani network is close to this and has its roots in Pakistan; Khalil Rahman Haqqani is the government’s Refugee Minister. According to experts, the Taliban government now has members of the Haqqani network in every part of the country. The ISI makes all Haqqani decisions. Kabul’s security system is in the hands of the Haqqani network, and no leader does anything without the Haqqani network’s approval.

A Taliban without a head?

Hibatullah Akhunzada’s whereabouts are unknown while the baradar remains in Kandhar. The Taliban has frequently claimed that Akhunzada will arrive soon, but this has yet to occur. They’ve had control of Kabul for about a month. According to a bystander, Akhunzada may have died. The circumstances surrounding the death of the Taliban’s founder, Mullah Omar, which was only revealed two years later, have fueled such distrust of Taliban commanders.
Afghanistan’s Prime Minister, Mullah Hassan Akhund, appears to be powerless, according to reports. This means that an ineffective Taliban appears to be in less control than they were when we were in power 20 years ago. Furthermore, containing the haqqanis, who appear to be gaining power in Afghanistan, is a daunting task. According to the observer, the country’s interior minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, has praised suicide bombers, while his uncle Khalil, the alleged attacker in Baradar, has made a series of public statements extolling the virtues of global jihad.
